What we cover
GoodBulb warrants each product we manufacture to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, for the coverage period listed below. “Normal use” means the bulb is installed and operated according to its packaging and rating: the correct fixture, voltage, dimmer compatibility, environment, and enclosure rating.
How long you’re covered
Coverage depends on the product. The warranty period for each item is printed on its packaging and listed on its product page.
Who’s covered
This warranty covers the original purchaser and applies only to products purchased from GoodBulb.com or a GoodBulb authorized reseller. Proof of purchase (an order number or dated receipt) is required for every claim. Products bought from unauthorized sellers, third-party marketplaces, or resellers we have not authorized are not covered by this warranty.

What we’ll do
If your product is defective within its coverage period, GoodBulb will issue a credit for the value of the defective bulbs toward your next order. Because many of our bulbs are sold by the box, that credit usually works out to a free bulb on your next box. Where a credit is not a fair fix, we may replace the product or refund the purchase price instead. A credit, replacement, or refund is your remedy under this warranty.
What’s not covered
- Normal wear and the expected end of a bulb’s rated life.
- Damage from misuse, accident, abuse, alteration, or improper installation.
- Use outside normal home or business use, or outside the product’s rating (wrong voltage, incompatible dimmer, enclosed fixture when not rated for it, or extreme temperature or environment).
- Corrective work made necessary by unauthorized repairs.
- Any product whose identifying markings have been removed or altered.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GoodBulb is not liable for incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Our total liability will never exceed the purchase price of the product that gave rise to the claim. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.

Any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the length of this written warranty, to the extent your state allows. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
