Type A | Plug-n-Play

That means you don't need to replace or rewire the entire unit just to switch to LED! Type A T8 LED bulbs will work with most fluorescent ballasts, but it is advised to check compatibility first.

Type B | Direct Wire or Ballast Bypass

Direct Wire or Ballast Bypass 3 ft Retrofit T8 LED Tubes replace traditional fluorescent bulbs and work by bypassing the existing ballast in your fixture. There is some rewiring involved in retrofitting your fixtures with Type B T8 bulbs, and you can choose from Single Ended or Double Ended options depending on your needs.
