Expect LED to be tougher, to be rugged, to last longer, and engineered to illuminate in a beautiful light.

Major brands in any industry make more money when you are forced to buy the same product repeatedly. When buyers just want the cheapest upfront price manufacturers will piece together products without considering what planned obsolescence will cost them and our earth. This is where the major brands in lighting truly screwed up. They decided for you. The General, Phillip, Slvania, and others simply decided 100 years ago that you wanted cheap light bulbs so they could make a fortune. They never gave you a choice. They never manufactured quality products. Wasting resources and the disposal of unnecessary lighting products for over 100 years, contaminates our beautiful planet. If bulbs lasted longer, we would not dispose of so many and if bulbs lasted longer, we would not be extracting excessive raw materials from the earth. Major brands care about profit and they want the cheapest materials forcing you to buy this product repeatedly. Not every Bulb is the same. GoodBulb is for customers that give a f#@k.

Time to PARtay!

PAR is an acronym for Parabolic Aluminized Reflector. PAR bulbs utilize a parabolic mirror to concentrate their light output into a focused beam for wide flood, regular flood, and spotlight angles, making them a much more precise option for directional lighting than, say, a BR (Bulged Reflector) bulb. Much like a BR bulb, however, a PAR bulb's diameter is determined by the numerical value following its acronym. The size can be found by measuring the diameter from the widest point of the bulb in 1/8 of an inch increment. For example, a PAR16 (the smallest of the PAR series bulbs, by the way) would have a diameter of 16/8" - or 2 inches.

PAR LED bulbs, like those made by GoodBulb, can be found in a variety of applications in both residential and commercial settings. Keeping in mind their precision and versatility, reach out to us via phone, email, or live chat with your questions about how to best take advantage of these incredible LEDs.

Light Bulb Moment

Not all Bulbs are created Equal. Some are Good. Some are Bad. Some walk the Grey Line. In the 1970’s installing halogen light bulbs in your business and your home was trendy, it was sexy. Saving energy and producing a better-quality light was a Win-Win!! It was very similar to installing LEDs for the first time. Today, we take the light bulb for granted. Especially when the major brands are still controlling life hours through planned obsolescence and 16% of the world’s population still does not have access to electricity.

If changing halogen light bulbs on regular basis is annoying, it’s time for LED! If you want to control the beam spread and the color of light, it’s time for LED! If you read about the Phoebus Cartel and it makes you angry, it’s time for GoodBulb! If you want LEDs that are NOT manufactured to fail, it’s time for GoodBulb! If you want to make a difference, It’s time for GoodBulb!

Are you tired of walking your property, your showroom or living room and seeing lights that are different colors and light bulbs that are burned out? If this, is you then you give a f#@k and should continue reading?

Buy A Light, Be A Light.

16% of the world's population still lives without electricity. GoodBulb believes we all have the opportunity to create a positive impact. Join us in choosing to buy quality products that help you create that positive impact in the world. Those who live without electricity often rely on kerosene lanterns. These are inefficient, expensive, and dangerous. In fact, Kerosene is the #1 cause for devastating fires in remote villages, destroying homes and endangering lives. With every light bulb you purchase, GoodBulb provides solar lanterns to families who live without electricity.

LED bulbs not only bring down your energy bills but are also more environmentally friendly when compared to incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). LED bulbs contribute the least amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere of all lighting sources. LED bulbs consume less power per unit of light emitted. This reduces greenhouse emissions from power plants. Carbon dioxide emissions for LEDs are also low. One LED bulb will minimize greenhouse gas emissions by almost half a ton. For example, an incandescent bulb results in 4,500 pounds of CO2 annually, while LED bulbs contribute just 451 pounds of CO2 per year. LED lighting can last up to 20 years, this longer life decreases the production of more bulbs, reducing the greenhouse emissions created by the manufacturing process.

LEDs have the best light distribution by focusing light in one direction as opposed to other types of lighting that waste energy by emitting light in all directions. Fewer LED bulbs are needed to achieve the same level of brightness given off by other forms of bulbs. Less bulbs reduce energy consumption and benefit the environment.

LEDs generate less heat during use so cooling costs are much lower. Incandescent bulbs release 90% of the energy as heat. While LED bulbs release 5% of the energy as heat and the rest is made into light. LEDs also contain ZERO mercury, unlike CFLs.
